And after we hear a helicopter, we are wondering if there is a forest fire. But we can only see the smoke, not smell it. Then it dawns on us – what we see are clouds of pollen! </p><p>On this warm, dry, windy day we can see yellow clouds of pine pollen billowing across the landscape. It looks really incredible. We had seen pollen on the water the night before, but today the amount is indescribable. Everything is covered, the boat, the dinghy, the clothes we are wearing. Hard to get on camera though. </p><p>The large pines that surround our anchorage release huge amounts of pollen into the air every year to assure a new generation of pines. Guess we have to deal with the mess so that we and future generations can continue to enjoy these beautiful forests!</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><strong>Waldbrand????</strong></p><p></p><p>Als wir heute Morgen in Richtung Wald blicken, sieht es sehr diesig aus. Und nachdem wir einen Hubschrauber hÁ¶ren, fragen wir uns, ob der Wald brennt. Aber wir kÁ¶nnen den Rauch nur sehen, nicht riechen. Dann dÁ¤mmert es uns – was wir sehen, sind Wolken aus Pollen! </p><p></p><p>An diesem warmen, trockenen und windigen Tag kann man gelbe Wolken aus Kiefernpollen, durch die Landschaft schweben sehen. Es sieht wirklich unglaublich aus. Gestern Abend hatten wir schon Pollen auf dem Wasser gesehen, aber heute ist die Menge unbeschreiblich. Alles ist bedeckt, das Boot, das Beiboot, unsere Kleidung. Es ist allerdings schwierig, das mit der Kamera einzufangen. </p><p></p><p>Die groÁŸen Kiefern, die unseren Ankerplatz umgeben, geben jedes Jahr riesige Mengen an Pollen in die Luft ab, um eine neue Generation von Kiefern zu sichern. Wir mÁ¼ssen uns wohl mit diesem Dreck abfinden, damit wir und kÁ¼nftige Generationen weiterhin diese schÁ¶nen WÁ¤lder genieÁŸen kÁ¶nnen!</p><p></p><p></p>
